What are some of your favorite non-visual art influences? 🖤
[Panel text: 1. Often, I’m asked about what other visual art influences my creative practice. But, if I’m being perfectly honest, my biggest influences and inspirations are OUTSIDE of the visual arts!
For example, watching how science advancements have literally changed our night sky.
2. Or watching and learning the creative processes of musicians like @jacobcollier or Mach-Hommy.
3. Or reading anything from fantastical fiction (like Gideon the Ninth) to the peculiarly researched non-fiction of Mary Roach.
If you’re a creative but tend to look at your own field for inspiration, I challenge you to look beyond! Pulling from other disciplines or influences encourages out-of-the-box thinking and new perspectives! 🖤 TL]
