CLIENT: Gold Spark Design, Denver, CO

DELIVERABLES: Full color digitally illustrated asset for product label.

SCOPE: Gold Spark Design (GSD) is a graphic design company that specializes in creative packaging designs for food, beverage, and supplements, and they often commission me to do bespoke illustrations for their clients' labels. This particular client, Graveyard Garlic, commissioned us for several spice labels/SKUs. 

For this SKU, GSD's client wanted a zombie scene in a haunted graveyard, and wanted the sky to have the same Van Gogh-like swirls as is used in all SKUs with changing colors. GSD provided me with the label template, and I sketched the following:

The client liked it, but we opted to remove the human zombies and initially kept the side skeleton reaching for the hot sauce:

We later removed the skeleton, change the color on the hand, and later removed the label on the hot sauce (although this version still has a label):
