CLIENT: Molly commissioned this for her now husband, Zach!

DELIVERABLES: 1 sleeved, full color, digitally illustrated Magic the Gathering card (actual card size) and 1 11x14 print (of illustrated element only).

SCOPE: Molly commissioned me to make a bespoke Magic the Gathering card that she could sneak into Zach's deck (replacing the Sol Ring) as a unique and fun marriage proposal. As a fellow MTG fan, I was so happy to work with Molly on this commission!

First I worked on the illustration, which shows Molly facing Zach with the "soul" ring floating above her palms (the original Sol Ring has an illustration of a floating ring):

Then, I downloaded an MTG template of a blank artifact card and all the standard MTG fonts, to keep everything as consistent as possible with the original cards. Molly and I worked on the card copy (specifically the Lizzo quote in the flavor text), while my husband and I worked on the correct phrasing for the rest (because, again, we're big MTG nerds!)

Here's what the final product looked like (it really looked like an actual MTG card in the end!), and I'm happy to announce he said "YES!"
