CLIENT: Gold Spark Design, Denver, CO

DELIVERABLES: Full color digitally illustrated asset for product graphic design.

SCOPE: Gold Spark Design (GSD) is a graphic design company that specializes in creative packaging designs for food, beverage, and supplements, and they often commission me to do bespoke illustrations for their clients' labels. For this particular project, GSD reached out for me to design a happy flamingo for a hemp tincture. The client wanted it close to this image:

I provided the following sketches, giving them a few different options for the eyes:

They liked the "gleamy stoner eyes" option, given the tincture is a "happy" supplement. I provided the following mockup, with some of my stylistic mark-making and movement around the character:

Due to the small size of the product label, we opted to remove the mark-making (since the details would be lost at a small size) but kept the shiny applications. The client also had just one addition, a cute little bowtie:

Finally, here's another product the happy flamingo character was used. This was completely updated by GSD, I did not add any illustrations, but editing was made easier as I always give editable files for my graphic designer's convenience (which should be normal, but isn't):
