CLIENT: Chris commissioned this for Tina

DELIVERABLES: B&W digitally illustrated 11x14 print  

SCOPE: Chris commissioned me to make a "crazy plant lady" illustration as a gift for Tina, his partner and one of my amazing friends, to gently tease her for her 2020-induced plant collecting obsession! The person in the center is a cartoon version of a woman that kind of looks like Tina (Chris did not request a portrait commission, just that it be a femme character), surrounded by both real and fantastical plants in a tiny little apartment. I loved the idea of putting her and the room in a thick border with the plants bursting out of the windows inside the environment, as well as through the literal border.

TL's THOUGHTS: I really really really love getting commissions with a loose concept, free design rein, and trust that I'll give the client a really fun end product. This was one of those commissions, and it's easily one of my most successful. Thank you, Chris!
